We are seeking a different kind of Direct Support Professional (DSP.) (That's someone who offers aide to the intellectually and developmentally disabled.) CDD is a non-profit community-based organization that supports individuals with developmental disABILITIES in their own homes throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area. We have been doing this for over 50 years with the goal of adding 50 more in our sight. Speaking of goals, CDD offers incentives based on meeting agency-wide goals as well as differentials for
homes that are behavioral, high medical needs, and for shifts that occur on Saturday and Sunday.

Now that we’ve introduced ourselves, lets give you a rundown of what you’ll be doing:
- Drive your own vehicle in all areas of the KC metro
- Work independently with clients in the community
- Work with goals, not quality of life
- Show us your Independent thinking and the ability to create activities every day to meet those goals (We don’t ask “what do you want to do today”. We ask “Do you want to work on goal 1 or goal 2 and here are the activities available”)
- Schedule your own times with each client and communicate those times to the family members. (We give you a caseload, not a schedule.)
- Complete your daily logs DAILY to show your work and progress. Documenting and providing summaries is required!
Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) is a private, not-for-profit corporation founded in 1972 serving adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities within the greater Kansas City, MO area. CDD provides residential care services, employment services, day habilitation to adults, and a private school for students who are referred through the Kansas City Missouri area.
