Job Description:
As a Day Program Counselor at The Center for Disability Services, you will play a vital role in supporting independence in daily life, collaborating with teams to plan activities, and providing direct personal care when needed. Your primary responsibility will be to empower people with disabilities through meaningful experiences, fostering growth, and promoting self-sufficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid NYS driver's license (required by some sites), and be at least 18 years old with the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior experience in the human services field is beneficial but not necessary, as we provide paid on-the-job training.
