Job Overview
The Dietetic Technician will work under the direction of the Center Director, collaborating with CEI's Registered Dietitians to provide comprehensive knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets, and Food Service Operations. This role is a float position, requiring travel to all sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researches and collects data from participant medical records, completing participant screenings for required assessments.
- Conducts sanitation and safety checks of Center kitchens, ensuring compliance with CEI Policies and Procedures.
- Audits diet cards for accuracy and adherence by staff serving meals to participants.
- Provides nutrition education for participants, families, caregivers, and/or day center staff within scope of practice.
- Assists with meal service, monitoring stock in refrigerators, dry storage, and freezers.
- Orders nutritional supplements and completes Breakfast and Lunch Menus, Meal count order forms, Bag Lunch requests, and Day Center Activity Food requests.
- Communicates regularly with food service vendors and other stakeholders regarding CEI meal programs.
- Maintains confidentiality of company procedures, results, and information about participants or families.
- Fulfills all agency training requirements and maintains a safe working environment.
