RN Staff Nurse - Internal Medicine

Position Overview:

CHEMED is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Internal Medicine team. As a staff nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive patient care in an outpatient setting. This full-time position primarily involves day shifts, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Internal Medicine department, including assessments, care planning, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Monitor and follow up on patient lab results, ensuring timely communication of results to patients and providers.
• Process and manage medication refills in collaboration with providers and according to established protocols.
• Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care plans.
• Assist with routine and urgent medical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• At least 1-2 years of nursing experience in an outpatient or internal medicine setting.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform routine procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
