What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Coordinator position at CENTER FOR HEARING AND SPEECH?
Position Summary:
This position provides professional and efficient customer service and supports clinic operations.
Essential Functions:
· Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting, in person or over the phone.
· Schedules appointments and transportation. Prepares daily client update sheets and sends appointment reminders.
· Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in the patient’s EMR (electronic medical record).
· Manages medical record requests.
· Processes payments, records and invoices to reconcile with finance.
· Maintains necessary documentation and facilities communication with providers to request authorizations for third-party payers and prior authorizations for nursing homes. Provides clinic related correspondence to third-party billing company.
· Maintains a safe and clean reception area.

Qualifications:
· Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
· At least 3 years related experience required. Experience working in physician’s office or customer-facing experience in the healthcare field preferred.
· Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including knowledge of Excel.
Additional Requirements:
· This position may travel locally as needed.
· Must have current driver’s license and proof of insurance.
· Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications.
· Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
