What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Informaticist - Information Technology position at Center for Human Development?
The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to join our dynamic AEDE (Application Excellence and Digital Experience) IT team. This is a full time, on-site position, located at our corporate office, located in Springfield, MA with occasional travel to program offices.
Your role as a Clinical Informaticist - Information Technology AEDE Dept :
The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for working directly with clinical and non-clinical programs to assess EMR / IT workflow optimizations and needs. The position also works closely with the Training Department to develop and continuously update workflow documentation / training materials for various training sessions (Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, Frequently Asked Questions) as it relates to new programs / implementations.
- Evaluate existing information systems and recommend improvements to functionality.
- Assist in system administration development and customization in Development / Test environment.
- Maintain knowledge of standard configurations.
- Train staff on system use, build interfaces, troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
- Assist with application upgrades, upgrade testing and management of support issues that may result from upgrades / projects.
- Create and maintain Integrated Test plans and program playbooks.
- Conduct observations of users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggestions for work-flow redesign.
- Manage tasks to support implementations and upgrades.
- Track tasks and maintain project materials. Monitors various processes and functionality in the EHR and route issues to appropriate parties.
- Participate in project meetings and provide notes to project meetings participants.
