The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Program Manager to join our team at the Hospitality Center in Waterbury, CT. They oversees the day to day operations and assures that the center is able to provide the unsheltered population the necessary tools to accomplish their goals.
Your role as a Program Manager :
The Program Manager at the Hospitality Center will oversee and supervise all volunteers and student interns, ensuring appropriate service delivery and adherence to CHD Supervision policy. They will coordinate daily operations, including scheduling activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring the availability of necessary resources for guests, volunteers, and staff. The Program Manager will build relationships with local agencies, seek out additional community resources, and provide linkages to homeless individuals for additional support. Additionally, they will organize empowerment activities, offer advocacy, and manage intake processes while maintaining a culturally appropriate environment.
REQUIRMENTS :
- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- Must have work experience with the unsheltered population
- Two years' experience working with adults with severe and prolonged mental illness and / or two years experience working with people in recovery
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to manage crisis situations, excellent judgment
- Reliable automobile and valid driver's license required
- Approved criminal background check (CORI)
