Job Description:
Overview: We seek an experienced and dynamic Office Nurse Manager to join our Center for Plastic Surgery Ann Arbor team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the Operating Room and managing our skilled nursing team . This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality surgical care, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, manage, and develop a skilled nursing team. Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development. Facilitate ongoing education and training for the nursing staff.
2. Manage Office Operating Room: Ensure efficient daily operations of the OR. Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities. Oversee the maintenance and functionality of OR equipment, supplies, and OR. All nursing duties related to the office operating room and clinic include but are not limited to policies, protocols, communication, and patient care bridging the gap between the clinic setting and OR experience.
3. Manage QUADA Standards and Compliance: Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations. Participate in the development and enforcement of policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure quality and compliance. Collaborate with quality improvement teams to address any areas of concern.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred but not required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Experience:
2-3 years of operating room experience (scrub, circulate) is required.
2-3 years of clinical (office setting) experience is preferred.
At least 2 years of Nurse leadership or management experience.
Licensure, and/or Certification:
Must have current RN licensure in the state of Michigan. BLS required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must have sound clinical patient care experience and OR skills (circulating and recovery required, scrub experience preferred) and have excellent interpersonal skills and organizational capability
- Strong technical/clinical skills
- Strong understanding of OR procedures and surgical workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong computer skills - EMR ready/ Microsoft
