The Search-Engine-Optimized (SEO) Writer reports to the Director of Content and Communication and serves as a key contributor to Fly Five’s digital content strategy. This role is essential in crafting and optimizing high-impact, audience-focused content that elevates the organization's online presence and strengthens its brand identity. The SEO Writer is responsible for developing and editing compelling, SEO content tailored for multiple platforms, including social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as Fly Five’s website. By combining creativity with a strategic understanding of digital trends and SEO best practices, this position ensures that all content resonates with target audiences and drives engagement across channels.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and optimize engaging, SEO-focused content across digital platforms, including social media and the website.
- Write and edit posts tailored to target audience behaviors, enhancing brand awareness and driving engagement.
- Develop shareable formats for marketing ideas, including hashtags, blogs, and longer posts.
- Update social media pages with compelling company news and relevant content.
- Coordinate with internal teams to create advertising posts for events, open roles, and product releases.
- Track and report on social media performance metrics, such as traffic, engagement, shares, and conversion rates.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and adjust content strategies for improved audience response.
- Network with clients and industry professionals to build connections and increase visibility.
- Increase readership and brand recognition through relevant advertising techniques.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a Social Media or Marketing Copywriter.
- Strong knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Familiarity with online paid advertising strategies.
- Ability to create original, creative web content using text, images, and videos.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

- Willingness to build customer and program knowledge by attending events as needed.
- Reliable attendance at virtual meetings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use a computer for up to eight hours per day, with breaks and lunch
- Ability to talk on the telephone for up to four hours per day
- Ability to travel by airplane and automobile, on occasion
- Ability to lift 30 pounds on occasion
