JOB TITLE: Accounting Specialist
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
REPORTS TO: CFO
Job Description: The Accounting Specialist works collaboratively with all team members and especially within the Accounting Department. You are responsible for full-cycle accounting activities specifically: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, banking transactions, government billing, job costing and non-profit accounting.
Qualifications of Accounting Specialist:
- Three or more years' experience as an Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Advanced and Proven Microsoft and Quickbooks experience
- Experienced using ADP payroll system.
Essential Functions of Accounting Specialist:
- Perform the day-to-day data entry and processing of vendor invoices and payments
- Research vendor inquiries
- Maintain vendor information
- Reconcile and pay company credit cards
- Understand and post explanation of benefits/payments (EOBs)
- Assist the CFO with the month, quarter, and year end closing
- Compile and analyze financial information
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Process both manual and upload journal entries
- Assist with annual audit
- Other duties as needed by the CFO
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
