What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Programming position at Center for the Homeless?
Develop and manage a trauma informed, integrated educational program for homeless men, women and families as they move through a continuum of care and into outreach services. Coordinate and administrate all activities of the Educational and Career Services Department, including curriculum development and primary instructional responsibilities for all STAR Programming (Self Growth, Training for jobs, Academics, and Relationship building) and oversight of the Job Training and Education Center
Develop curriculum and produce documentation of STAR programming elements.
Primary instructor for all STAR courses (including Starting Over/Stepping Higher (SOSH), Developing Resilience in Veterans Experiences (DRIVE), Neighbors Excelling as Tenants (NEXT), Community Orientation, Job Training Track, and Academic Track).
Recruits and coordinates all presenters within the various STAR programming curriculums.
Organizes and supervises specialized curricula, including computer classes, writing classes, financial literacy classes, and other specialized skills.
Identifies, evaluates and incorporates new programming curriculum material from a trauma-informed perspective.
Recruit, train and supervise volunteer tutors, adjunct staff and work/study students; coordinate their schedules in the Job Training and Education Center (JTEC).

Pay: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
