Medical Front Desk Assistant are responsible for maintaining a friendly, professional environment as our patients' first and last point of contact. They must be polite, attentive, and organized to enhance the patient experience.

We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Medical Front Desk Assistant to join our outstanding team at Center for Total Eye Care in Westminster, MD . The Medical Front Desk Assistant plays a crucial role in our practice, greeting patients as they enter, checking in and out, scheduling, and performing other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities :

Greeting patients in person and on the phone.

Answering patient questions or referring questions to the appropriate team member.

Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.

Notifying providers of patient arrivals.

Provide exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering questions.

Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.

Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.

Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.

Cross-train in other areas as needed.

Qualifications :

A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.

Knowledge of MS Office.

Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.

Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required, and I am willing to train the right candidate.

Bi-lingual English / Spanish a plus.
