The Center for Women and Families – Vice President of Programs / Client Services

The Vice President of Programs / Client Services will help to move toward our vision of thriving survivors in safe communities.
The Center for Women and Families provides free services to people of all identities who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
The Vice President of Programs / Client Services is responsible for providing leadership, oversite, and program development to the overall domestic violence and sexual assault programs at The Center for Women and Families (CWF). They ensure trauma-informed approach to client services and to staff, modeling excellence and holding program leadership accountable to standards and norms for trauma resiliency, and serves as part of the Executive Team, providing leadership, strategic planning, and direction through a program lens. The VP will exemplify the values of The Center in cultural humility, trauma resiliency, integrity, compassion, being human-centered, adaptable, and transparent, and represents The Center in the community, building and maintaining strong relationships and collaborative partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities
Program and Service Planning and Oversight
- Plan and oversee the delivery of programs and services in accordance with CWF’s mission, vision, theory of change and program goals
- Oversee programming and the Senior Director of Emergency Services and the Senior Director of Community Services, and work collaboratively with Program Leadership to support high performance
- Ensure all client services are aligned with the CWF Strategic Plan. Develop and implement continuous improvement framework to assess strengths of programs and areas for improvement, and identify new program needs
- Support the growth, development, and job satisfaction of the Senior Director of Emergency Services and the Senior Director of Community Services by utilizing effective management techniques which are part of maintaining a high level of morale and enthusiasm
- Implement and lead standard procedures to review data for program and performance management, monitor identified metrics for program responsiveness, identify client needs, and ensure data quality in reporting
- Collaborate with the Client Database Manager to analyze progress toward goals and outcomes as well as reports to track results, reviewing them with the Senior Director of Emergency Services and the Senior Director of Community Services
- Collaborate with Director of Grants Management to assist and support development of proposals, reports to funders
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Finances to ensure that programs/projects operate within approved budgets and timelines
- Approve program expenditures
Strategic and Organizational Development
- Participate in all Board of Director meetings and Board Executive Committee.
- Co-chair the Program Committee of the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with President to represent The Center at local and statewide meetings to foster and deepen relationships with community stakeholders and partners
- Contribute to productive functioning of the Executive Team to create strong, collaborative, and inclusive leadership across the agency including strategic direction and policy setting, budget development and fiscal management, internal and external communications, etc.
- Represent the Center in print and visual media
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of leadership experience. Non-profit leadership preferred.
- Experience in residential and trauma-related work.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
- Demonstrated commitment to seeking diversity of perspectives and backgrounds, and commitment to advance equitable policies and practices and insure inclusion.
- Comfort in working with diverse groups of people including those who are clients, stakeholders, donors and funders, and staff.
- Extensive project management skills with ability to prioritize work and set clear goals for self.
- Demonstrated ability to flourish, lead and inspire in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous setting.
- Demonstrated ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions using sound and independent judgement that are timely and in the agency’s best interest.
