What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engine Testing Support - SEE Program position at Center for Workforce Inclusion?
The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for an Engine Testing Support position to work in the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program (55 years of age or older) at the EPA Facility in Ann Arbor, MI.
Role and Responsibilities: Provide support to the Engine Testing Center within the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ)/Testing and Advanced Technology Division.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Helping to keep property/space/storage operating by moving/organizing items (may involve use of forklift)
- Assisting with the excess property process
- Assist with engine build-up, crating, and uncrating
- Assist in placing orders
- Organizing reference materials
- Performing Safety inspections
- Taking/collecting data (bottle pressures, etc..)
- Assist in product research
- Helping with aspects of inventory
- Improving documentation and organization in various aspects of the center
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and a citizen of the United States; able to pass a Federal Background check; ability to be on their feet up to 80% of the time; High School graduate or equivalent; able to operate a forklift; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; possess a positive attitude.
Hours & Compensation: Part-time position working 16 - 24 hours per week @ $16.20 per hour with generous vacation/sick/holiday leave.
