The Center for Workforce Inclusion is recruiting for a SmartWay Partner Account Quality Assurance Analyst position in the grant-administered Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program to work at the National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL) operated by the Environmental Protection Agency based in Ann Arbor Michigan.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Center for Workforce Inclusion is seeking a creative, analytical, highly independent professional to help businesses assess and improve supply chain energy efficiency and reduce fuel costs and harmful emissions. This position works directly with SmartWay staff and partners—shippers (companies that move freight), logistics companies, trucking firms, and other freight carriers. Core responsibilities of this position include:
- Provide expertise to SmartWay in improving internal processes:
- Develop and maintain expertise concerning technical information about SmartWay and how partners improve freight energy efficiency over time.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to enhance partner tool/database areas and program policies.
- Independently analyze and interpret data trends and generate data-related reports to SmartWay Chief Data Management Officer.
- Conduct an audit and inspect partner submissions to identify areas for improvement in existing processes.
- Assist in managing and prioritizing tool and database change requests for implementation.
- Provide expertise to SmartWay in improving the value of SmartWay for partners
- Review and investigate partner feedback concerning advanced technology use and adoption rates.
- Gauge and evaluate partner engagement/participation level over time.
- Engage with partners on their freight sustainability actions and plans to help them improve environmental performance.
- Guide and train newer Partner Account managers in tool review and ways to improve partner experience and ease of use.
- Advise partner companies in their annual partner data submissions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Successful candidates must meet the age criteria of being 55 years of age or older and a United States citizen; able to pass a Federal Background check; possession of a BA/BS degree with a minimum of freight data management and record auditing or related experience; knowledge of supply chain modes and business models; experience in databased management, data quality and data set reviews; strong analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; experience using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access.
Hours & Compensation: Full-Time position working 40 hours per week @ $46,197 per year ($22.21 per hour), plus benefits including paid health insurance and generous vacation/sick/holiday leave.
