Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and ensure the efficient operation of all facility systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property maintenance, project management, and mechanical knowledge. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly inspecting facilities to identify issues and required maintenance.
- Creating and managing weekly maintenance schedules and work assignments.
- Overseeing the work of tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers) during installations, repairs, or maintenance activities.
- Maintaining and inspecting building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing).
- Managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Coordinating renovation or other large projects.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role or similar position.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Familiarity with health & safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent planning and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Computer literacy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma; a vocational degree is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, HVAC certification) are preferred.
