Food Service Helper
Salary: $12.28/hour - In Accordance with the AFSCME Local 2722 Master Agreement
Reports To: Director of Food Service
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School graduate or equivalent.
· Complete a personnel/criminal records check.
· Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations (i.e. lifting, bending, reaching, counting money/making change, operating computer/POS system, etc.).
· Ability to cooperate and work collaboratively with team members at all levels and positions.
· Ability to communicate positively with every student.
DESCRIPTION: A working line position involving cashier duties, computer knowledge, preparation, cooking, and clean-up of school lunch and a ’la carte items.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist Head Cook in food preparation, cooking, clean-up, counter work, rotation and putting away of stock.
· Adhere to all Health Department/HACCP rules and regulations.
· Complete the ‘Serv Safe’ food sanitation class and/or Food Service Managers Certification class. These classes must be completed no more than 18 months after permanent placement.

LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 180 Days/9 paid holidays
LENGTH OF DAY: 4 Hours (start time to be set by immediate supervisor)
