Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in property management and contribute to the success of our company. The Assistant Property Manager will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure the efficient operation of our properties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with leasing activities, including showing available units, screening potential tenants, and preparing lease agreements
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Assist with rent collection and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Assist with marketing efforts to attract new tenants, including creating advertisements and managing online listings
- Maintain accurate records of all property-related activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting processes
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for property maintenance and repairs
- Support the Property Manager in various administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills to effectively market available units and upsell additional services
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures related to property management, including lease agreements and eviction processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes or difficult situations professionally
- Basic understanding of property maintenance practices
