QA Technician - Dietary Supplements

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday, Day Shift
Salary: $17/hr Depending on experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follow all cGMP guidelines

· Perform sampling of incoming raw materials and prepare for subsequent testing

· Perform initial quality investigations and document results in accordance with all department policies, procedures, and cGMPs

· Perform organoleptic testing on raw materials and document results in accordance with all department policies, procedures, and cGMPs

· Participate in routine/non-routine sampling area cleaning, maintenance, and documentation

· Perform distribution and allocation of raw materials for use by production. Raw material inventory location, maintenance and control.

· Perform physical inventory of all department supplies on an ongoing basis

· Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by department management

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience in a cGMP environment in food or dietary supplement industries preferred.

Technical Skills:

· Familiar with web-based applications like Microsoft Office, gmail and Skype. Inventory control system experience a plus.

· Familiar with spreadsheet software like Excel, OpenOffice, Google Sheets, etc.

· Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Windows explorer, can navigate a file system to save and retrieve documents

· Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills

· Possess a Team attitude and able to work independently when necessary

· Good interpersonal and communication skills: verbal and written

· Willingness to learn new methods, procedures, processes and accept constructive coaching

· Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

· Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

· Ability to stoop, bend, reach or crawl as necessary
