SUMMARY :
This is the position as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), CenterPlace Health, Inc. (CPH), located in Sarasota, Florida. The CEO will report to CenterPlace Health Board of Directors and is accountable for the successful operation of the FQHC and all its activities, including reporting to the governing board on the status of its operations and finances.
The individual in this position is charged with FQHC responsibilities following the transition from a public-entity FQHC in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County (DOH-Sarasota) to an independent community-based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. This individual, along with the Board of Directors, will assure CPH's continuing commitment to underserved populations.
This individual in this position will have proven experience in an executive management role with a strong understanding of not-for-profit finance. S / he should possess strong collaborative / networking skills, knowledge of health center operations and finance, and FQHC program requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Responsible for health center operations, facilities, quality, and other patient support services, post-transition in partnership with the CPH Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership of DOH-Sarasota.
- Responsible for developing the methodology and processes necessary to assure a seamless transition of operations across all health center delivery sites and business functions.
- Ensures that the organization's financial systems, budgets, and management reporting processes are made available to the CPH Board of Directors for the purpose of managing and supporting the FQHC post-transition and properly reflecting its evolving fiscal model.
- Assures that FQHC leaders and managers have the necessary tools and resources to partner efficiently with each other, their employees, and partners.
- Works to assure measurement of clinical quality and service standards and financial sustainability are integrated with strategic planning and operations management.
- Works to assure a framework for continuously monitoring and improving the quality of care and services provided to patients, including the prevention of adverse events / incidents that place patients at risk.
- Assures there are claims management personnel, policies, procedures, and processes that address any potential or actual health-related claims or lawsuits, including medical malpractice claims that may be eligible for FTCA coverage.
- Assures accurate and timely reporting of any service of process / summons that the health center or its provider(s) receives relating to any alleged claim or complaint to the HHS, Office of the General Counsel, General Law Division, per the process prescribed by HHS and as further described in the FTCA Health Center Policy Manual.
- Assures policies and procedures are reviewed and approved by the BOD on an annual basis.
- Assures QI / QA and Risk Management annual training plans are reviewed and approved by the BOD.
- Coordinates activities between HRSA and the CPH.
- Coordinates implementation of approved grant applications.
- Coordinates functions between the CenterPlace Health Board of Directors and DOH-Sarasota.
- Staffs and reports to the CPH Board of Directors and its committees.
- Engages in public speaking.
- Coordinates activities with community partners.
- Represents the CPH at important community and educational events including meetings, conferences, and public events.
