CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Corporate Security Analyst to join our Corporate Security Team, located in Houston, TX.
You will have the ability to: be responsible for maintaining operational readiness of physical security systems through project management (installation, maintenance, and administration) of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance, and other related systems and software utilized by the Corporate Security Department. General duties include system monitoring, programming, reporting, troubleshooting, commissioning/decommissioning, and interfacing with various internal and external CenterPoint Energy partners to identify and resolve physical security system needs.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Engineer and oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of security systems, programmable logic controls and other security related electronic systems.
- Recommend improvement of security systems or procedures through risk analysis and provides expertise, direction and coordination of all disciplines in the completion of security assessments and integration of security system designs.
- Conduct physical security surveys to identify potential vulnerabilities related to existing physical security systems.
- Provide expertise and direction regarding institutional capital security projects to both internal and external project teams, addressing architectural, electronic, and operational protective measures.
- Outline physical security system criteria for pre-bid meetings.
- Develop conceptual designs of physical security systems.
- Monitor the work of external security providers in the design, construction, and startup phases.
- Commission physical security systems for final acceptance and implements procedures for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the systems.
- Train personnel in physical security procedures and use of physical security equipment.
- Prepare scope of work descriptions for project-specific requirements, develops budgetary estimates, and evaluates bids to obtain desired equipment consistent with current system applications.
- Perform root cause analysis on existing physical security systems to identify problems and develop action plans to resolve the issues.
- Design physical security policies, programs and practices to ensure proper physical security asset deployment (Asset Protection, Alarm Response, Access Control, etc.)
- Design , develops, and oversees implementation of solutions for system installation, including review of contractor submittals, periodic field observations, and system acceptance testing.
- Develop and administers security standards and specifications to ensure compliance with current CenterPoint Energy security systems.
Your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred but not required.
- Will consider relevant job experience.
- Minimum six (6) years experience in security design, implementation and integration of security systems.
- With degree, four (4) years of experience in security design, implementation and integration of security systems.
- Minimum six (6) year's security project management experience.
