Job Summary
Center Point Energy is looking for a Leak Chaser to join our Team, located in Brooklyn Park and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
You will have the ability to: Performs company field operations including manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the repair and maintenance of our natural gas distribution facilities.
Essential Functions
- Responds to and investigates emergency calls to ensure safe delivery of natural gas and to maintain public and personal safety.
- Responds to utility related calls for all customers, locates gas leaks at customer’s premise, and takes necessary steps to maintain public and personal safety.
- Maintains and repairs the gas distribution system as needed. Work will be performed in an efficient, accurate and productive manner.
- Performs other related tasks including, but not limited to leak survey work, line locating, meter reading, meter painting, and work order system documentation.
- Participates in training externally and internally, both field and classroom to increase job knowledge and competency. Advises and assists other employees on the job to provide technical, safety and procedural knowledge.
- Operates and maintains company vehicle in a safe manner, controls parts inventory, and is responsible for tool and equipment condition in order to ensure safe efficient service.
