As a Behavioral Intervention Professional, you will help support children and youth in our community. You will have the chance to help shape new and/or enhance current positive behavioral systems, support staff with behavioral interventions and behavioral plan development.
ABOUT PROGRAM
As a Behavioral Intervention Professional with CenterPointe, you will be asked to work directly with children and youth 1:1 in our center-based program, in the community, and at their school correcting and shaping their behaviors to promote independence and resiliency.
ABOUT CENTERPOINTE
CenterPointe opened its doors in 2003 with the vision to provide continuity of care for families and their children by providing a wide variety of services so that the needs of each child could be met. We provide counseling, medication management, community-based rehabilitation services, individual respite, developmental services, an early childhood development program, and therapeutic behavioral services (TBS) to children and teens throughout Canyon County and Ada County. We also provide school CBRS and BI to students in multiple school districts in Canyon County.
Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with children and youth in our center-based program, in their community, and in their school correcting and shaping their behaviors to promote independence and resiliency. Must be patient, flexible, willing to be part of a team, and willing to work hours that are a typical school schedule. Typical hours will be during CenterPointe business hours.
- Provide direct behavioral intervention/modification for children and youth that decreases engagement in disruptive, harmful, or maladaptive behaviors and increases engagement in positive replacement behaviors
- Collect data, record youth's progress toward goals, and maintain behavioral data through formal documentation methods (i.e., data tracking, documenting progress notes, etc.)
- Participate in monthly individual supervision
Qualifications:
MUST have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferably in a human service field)
Requirements:
- Must be willing to complete the training course to become CPR/First Aid Certified (provided by company), and Crisis Prevention Intervention Certified (provided by company)
- Complete regular professional training
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- An unwavering commitment to our children, youth and families
- Ability and willingness to work at school sites in Canyon County and in the youth's community
- Strong verbal skills
- Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Demonstrated skill in delivering and accepting feedback with staff, colleagues, and supervisors
- Must pass an extensive background check and fingerprinting through the Department of Health & Welfare
- Must have a valid Idaho Driver License, proof of automobile insurance and meet the Agency’s safe driver guidelines
Schedule:
- Full-time and Part-time
- Monday to Friday
- Have availability for Saturday, if needed

Compensation:
- Starting wage: $22 per hour
- Compensation growth range for this position: $22 - $24 per hour
