Position: Director of Retail Business Status: Full time
Reports to: CFO Location: Ashland, OH
Primary function is to build a culture of Centerra One. The goal is to direct, promote and coordinate the retail operations in a manner that will optimize the cooperative's market share and savings, improve efficiency and help achieve the mission and goals to result in outstanding customer service.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a long-term vision and strategic plan for the retail division, aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the retail landscape.
- Oversee the development and execution of merchandising strategies to optimize product offerings and pricing.
- Stay abreast of and implement new technologies to improve retail operations and the customer experience.
Operational Excellence:
- Manage the entire retail operation, including brick-and-mortar stores, e-commerce platforms, and inventory management.
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective retail operations by developing and implementing standard operating procedures.
- Set and monitor performance metrics, such as sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover.
People Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of retail professionals, including regional managers, store managers, and other staff.
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to recruit, hire, and retain top retail talent.
Financial Acumen:
- Develop and manage the retail budget, ensuring profitability and meeting financial targets.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed decisions about resource allocation and investments.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting for the retail division.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of success in driving sales and profitability.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, marketing, and e-commerce.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to lift 50#.
