Job Purpose: The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for internal and external marketing and communications, including editorial content creation, website management, social media and email marketing. The role is a mix of strategy and hands-on implementation, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to drive the employer brand and drive culture of inclusion, belonging and mutual respect.

- Develops and implements data-driven marketing plans that are aligned with organizational and program goals; manages project timelines and deliverables and measures effectiveness of internal and external campaigns.
- Develops and manages content calendar for internal and external communications, leveraging staff expertise to create and share agency stories.
- Collaborates with various internal clients to ensure clear, coordinated and complimentary employee communications.
- Tactical execution of messaging and content using various channels including SharePoint, social media, newsletters, emails and events.
- Supports internal and external events and vendor management, as needed.
- Oversees all aspects of website, including content updates, user experience optimization, and technical maintenance.
- Recommends and implements changes in strategy and tactics based on analytics, best practices, and current trends.

Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Required Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in marketing and communications with practical expertise in digital marketing.
Travel Type: Less than 10%
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience managing websites and CMS platforms, such as WordPress.
- Proven track record of directing successful multi-channel marketing/communications campaigns and knowledge of industry trends.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Experience developing email marketing strategies and proficiency with platforms, such as Constant Contact.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for the agency’s mission and values, as well as curiosity about helping people live their best lives through total health.
Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
