Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture techniques
- Prepare patients for blood draws, including interviewing and educating them on the process
- Follow strict safety procedures to minimize the risk of infection and injury
- Record and label blood samples accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent required; Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred
- 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist; must have completed a hospital or major lab training program without certificate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work nights, evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
