Duties:
- Provides assistance to the natural support structure of the consumer in order to respond to their needs when stability of the system is threatened by assisting the family in their efforts to correct issues/behaviors identified during the assessment process
- Provide behavior modification techniques and one on one interventions to the identified client which are outlined in the treatment plan
- Interventions can include: recreational games, treatment topic workbooks, worksheets, social stories, behavior charting, 1-2-3 Magic, prompting, redirection, visual cues, modeling, praise, planned ignoring, etc...
- Under the supervision of a BC, some examples of issues/behaviors the BHT will address can include but are not limited to: verbal/physical aggression, disrespect, non-compliance, tantrums, peer/sibling interaction, social skills, coping skills, and parent/child relational issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, Criminal Justice with no work experience; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in any other field with at least 1 year of full time paid work experience that involved direct contact with children or adolescents; or
- Act 33, 34, and FBI clearances
