What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Program Coordinator- Bedford Daytime Center- FT/Days position at Centra Medical Group?
The Activity Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing the center’s social, recreational, and therapeutic activity program. The individual is responsible for supervising Activity Assistants, coordinating care with the Interdisciplinary Team, and acting as a liaison between the Interdisciplinary Team and staff, participants, and individuals of the program.
Required Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience: 1 years’ experience working with the elderly and/or those with disabilities.
Preferred Experience: Experience in Activities/ Recreation in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
Completes all regulatory assessments and plans of care.
Develops, implements, conducts, and/or supervises the centers activity programs to meet the physical, cognitive, social, and psycho-social needs of the participants, considering any functional limitations of the participant/ individual.
Promotes and coordinates the volunteer program for the center.
Creates and maintains an environment that protects participants from harm and promotes wellbeing.
Communicates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, staff, and participants/ individuals.
Handles conflict resolution opportunities in an appropriate, timely, and consistent manner.
Operates the activity program within budget.
