What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator Cath Lab Information System - LGH/Full Time Days position at Centra Medical Group?
The Cath Lab Information System Coordinator, under the direction of the Cath Lab Unit Manager, manages all Cardiology information systems, including, but not limited to, Witt, Camtronics, Vericis, Volcano, Siemens, Lumedx Inventory, PMM and co-administrator of Apollo/Lumedx Data Repository. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison and contact to MIS/CE for systems maintenance, upgrade, change and implementation. She/ he is responsible for coordinating training of physicians and employees in the operation of all Cardiology information systems.
Required Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience with PACS Systems, IS Systems
Preferred Education:
Required Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Preferred Experience:
Required Certifications and Licensures: Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current license as required by state and/or national agency
Preferred Certifications and Licensures:
Develops and completes competencies for all radiology information systems
Maintains confidentiality consistently to employees and patients
Handles disciplinary action with guidance from Manager for all assigned staff
Maintains staffing and operational budgets
Recommends process improvements to ensure customer satisfaction
Serves as a resource for radiology information systems to Centra staff, patients, and physicians
Collaborates with MIS/CE personnel to ensure efficient operation of systems
Coordinates systems operation with department supervision, physicians and staff
Collaborates with Cath Lab and Cardiology Administration in setting and revising departmental policies related to information systems and department workflow
Displays in-depth knowledge of Witt, Camtronics, Vericis, Volcano, Siemens, Lumedx Inventory, PMM and co-administrator of Apollo/Lumedx Data Repository
Assists in the development of the yearly capital budget
Recognizes opportunities and takes action to enhance systems operation
Keeps up to date with new and enhanced systems, equipment and procedures
Maintains requirements of ARRT
Maintains a personal learning plan as well as communicates technological advances to staff and physicians
Is successful in training of physicians and hospital personnel in proper operation of systems
Coordinates training for new physicians, technologists, nurses, clerical staff and other employees requiring access to Cath Lab information systems
Maintains communications with Cath Lab administration to ensure best use of department information systems, efficient workflow and best patient care
Maintains communication with referring physicians and their office staff to ensure smooth expansion of information systems into facilities outside Centra
Ensures high quality information acquisition, transmission and storage
