What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Revenue Cycle Pre-Authorization- FT/Days position at Centra Medical Group?
The Supervisor Pre-Authorization, working under the direction of the Operations Manager serves as a primary resource to the Pre-Authorization staff and leadership. They oversee the pre-authorization process for all scheduled/ordered services for acute hospital facilities and independent testing facilities. The Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day leadership, assisting with workflow processes and escalations as appropriate. This role will work to ensure on a daily, weekly, monthly basis that key performance indicators are met or exceeded thru staff productivity and system issue monitoring. The Supervisor will also be expected to perform front end duties for department.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years’ experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle, other medical office experience, leadership, a combination or core classwork from an accredited college or university in a medical/business course of study or have one Revenue Cycle recognized certification.
Authorization and Insurance experience in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes as well as other medical terminology
Ability to work independently and maintain productivity.
Employee must be and remain in good standing regarding their performance and behavior.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
Proficient typing and spelling.
Proficient computer skills, multitasking with data entry while using multiple computer applications.
Ability to provide high level of customer service, attention to detail, critical thinking, and have proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some college experience in healthcare, business, accounting and/or professional certification preferred. Associates degree and/or bachelor’s degree in medical preferred
