Position Summary: Our internships are paid and coordinate with your school's schedule. Along with in-depth training with our Centra Sota Feed staff we also provide our interns with trainings from our partners at WinField. During the internship, all interns will develop and complete an internship project. At the conclusion of our internship all interns will present their projects to our Agronomy, Feed, and Leadership team.
Essential Functions: (The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following)
- Weed & Insect identification
- General knowledge of chemicals and fertilizers
- Conduct emergence and stand counts
- Taking and interpreting tissue and soil samples
- Moisture probe installation and maintenance
- Nutrient deficiency identification and main
- Precision plant knowledge
- Internship project in coordination with your direct manager and presentation at the end of your internship
- Demonstrate a commitment to doing what’s right, a solid work ethic, a strong sense of ownership, a passion for agriculture, and genuine respect for others
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR and ability to pass drug screen
- Strong team player with excellent listening and verbal communication skills, inspires trust and respect
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with staff, customers and the community
- Ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment
- Resourceful, self-starter with good independent, ethical, decision-making ability
- Excellent organizational skills including detail oriented, multi-tasking, planning, and prioritizing
- Results-oriented, accurate and thorough with a commitment to accountability
- Must Comply with current driver qualification requirements and our Drug and Alcohol Policy
