The Medical Assistant will provide patient rooming for all types of clinic visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, assist providers with clinic procedures, accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatments in the patients' electronic medical record, perform telephone screening and gather information from patients to communicate to the RN or provider, administer appropriate medications and immunizations under the direction of the RN or provider, and assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently. This position is working in lab, working with podiatry every other Monday and floating and rooming patients working with all providers where needed.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 72 hours every 2 weeks.
- 7:45am-5pm Monday-Friday with every other Tuesday off.
- No evenings. No weekends. No holidays.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay range $17.95 to $26.94 depending on years of experience.
- $2,000 hiring bonus.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
- Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.
To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away and relocate within 30 miles of your primary work location within 120 days.
