What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Reserarch RN | Monticello Cancer Center position at CentraCare?
This role facilitates patient entry on the studies for cancer treatment and/or prevention. This will include taking training on trials that this location qualifies for, reviewing patients for qualified candidates, discuss participation with patients, and follow up with patients that are taking part it trials. Works in collaboration with MNCCTN and MNCORC.
What you will do:
- Assist Physician's in identifying patients eligible for research trials
- Coordinate patient entry into protocol
- Ensure proper management according to protocol requirements.
- Maintain complete, accurate files on all protocol patients.
- Act as a resource for Institutional Review Board (IRB).
- Investigational drugs – order as needed, assure accurate record keeping, be knowledgeable regarding toxicities, file Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR’s) when necessary.
- Implement research protocol according to physician orders.
Schedule:
- Part-time | 48-64 hours every 2 weeks
- Monday-Friday | 8am-4:30pm
- No weekends or holidays!
Pay and Benefits
- Pay based on experience and degree
- Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $41.34 per hour
- Master’s in nursing starting at $42.37 per hour
- Pay range: $40.33 - $60.50 per hour

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required.
- RN MN Licensure required
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in medical oncology or clinical research preferred.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required prior to completion of unit orientation
- National Certification in a Nursing Specialty preferred
- National certification in clinical research preferred
