CentraCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer Program Specialist in Hospice! In this role, you will be responsible for the assignment, coordination and supervision of all volunteer activities, ensuring a high level of care and support for our patients and families. The Volunteer Program Specialist will play a key role in recruiting, screening, training and evaluating volunteers, while also providing ongoing education and support to ensure volunteers are equipped for their important work.
Schedule
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | Hybrid schedule
- Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Occasional evening or weekend help needed to represent hospice and recruit volunteers at community expos or other events
Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay begins at $19.42 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $19.42 - $29.14 per hour

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Post-secondary degree in Nursing, Human Services, Medical Social Services or other related field
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license with a driving record in good standing
- Reliable transportation with the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage required per CentraCare’s policy
- Documented experience with volunteers and demonstrated skills in interpersonal communications, public relations and human relations
