Job Function
Under the supervision of the Chief of HR, the Human Resource Generalist – Recruiting works to:
1. Ensure an overall effective and viable human resource system; and
2. Coordinates the hiring process.
Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Chief of HR.
• Keeps current with the charter school’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual and proactively gives recommendations regarding their appropriate use to administration.
• Assists with the maintenance of complete job description documentation.
• Assists in the security and maintenance of personnel files.
• Assists with the training of all interviewers for proper interviewing techniques and compliance with all applicable laws.
• Reviews employment applications and all associated documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Informs newly hired personnel of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other information.
• Maintains records and provides reports as necessary regarding resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection (in computer database and files).
• Schedules and attends on site Career Fairs as needed to expand the network of candidates for TBP.
• Manages the various platforms necessary to attend the variety of virtual Career Fairs and recruits appropriate campus staff to attend.
• Prepares and posts job openings internally and externally as appropriate.
• Assists in reaching out to candidates using a variety of methods including social media, partnerships with universities, etc.
• Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
• Performs reference and background checks on applicants and/or ensures such checks are done before hire.
• Prepares and issues agreements for approval.
• Assists with the development and implementation of teacher retention strategies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• One to two years of related experience and/or training.
