In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation logistics to ensure timely and efficient pick up and delivery of vehicles. Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate with drivers and customers to manage logistics effectively.
- Manage a team of drivers & coordinate their routes on a daily basis
- Monitor and track team members to accomplish the tasks
- Ensure haulers have a proper load
- Address any transportation issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and transportation costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve service quality.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Experience
- Previous experience in transportation coordination or logistics is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software or similar tools is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- A keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- Previous management of a large team is preferred.
