GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Assists in the administrative functions of the Transportation department, including training, briefings, and meetings within the transportation department and other areas. Assists in coordinating the efforts of the other administrative staff within the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accepts, handles and refers telephone calls for the department as required.
- Keeps transportation coordinator and transportation manager informed of calls and action taken.
- Assists with vehicle briefings, training and record keeping as needed.
- Assists with the calculation of mileage of billing of driver's reports.
- Enters all pertinent records/information into computer.
- Ensures required forms are completed, accurate and distributes to proper areas.
- Ensures Medicaid sheets are updated and placed in route boxes and that Medicaid billing is completed.
- Completed requisitions and orders supplies as needed.
- Supervises drivers.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Equivalent to four years high school or GED, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
