LIBRARY SAFETY OFFICER – The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time (40 hrs. per week) library safety officer at the Williams Library (1800 Chester St., Little Rock, AR, 72206). Work schedule would be: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-6pm, Tuesday/Thursday 11am-8pm, and the occasional Saturday. The candidate should be outgoing, friendly, team-orientated, and enjoy working with all ages and have a customer service-oriented approach to public safety while working in a diverse and inclusive environment. Daily duties include interacting with after-school crowds and enforcing the rules of conduct. Experience working with youth a plus. Essential duties include working closely with branch staff to solve challenges throughout the day and help diffuse various situations in a positive, courteous, and professional manner. Additional responsibilities include assisting patrons with information and assisting staff with public safety concerns. Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods of time, work indoors and outdoors. Some computer experience is required and must have reliable transportation. Spanish language skills a plus, but not required. Pay starts at $16.11 and includes excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company paid pension, life insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and holiday pay.
