Job Description:
The QA Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of mortgage-related projects and system initiatives. This position is responsible for overseeing operational compliance, leading quality assurance efforts, and managing project coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong mortgage industry knowledge, excellent people skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Operational Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to internal policies, workflow standards, and operational compliance requirements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process improvements. This includes developing, maintaining, and updating operational documentation such as policies, procedures, and training materials to enhance clarity and alignment across teams. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and validating process adherence across multiple departments to ensure consistency, quality assurance, and overall operational efficiency.
2. Testing & System Validation
Develop and execute QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for mortgage-related projects while conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and tracking defects. Validate system changes to ensure they align with operational workflows, collaborating with teams to resolve issues before deployment. Maintain accurate test documentation and compliance records, ensuring seamless project implementation and regulatory alignment.
3. Project Coordination & Stakeholder Communication
Act as a liaison between key departments, leading discussions, stakeholder meetings, and project reviews to provide updates on QA progress and operational risks. Organize and facilitate regular project meetings, engaging cross-functional teams while ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards. Prepare and present QA reports, operational updates, and test results to leadership, offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
4. Training & Process Improvement
Provide training on QA processes, workflow enhancements, and operational / compliance best practices to improve team efficiency and adherence. Assist in refining and optimizing procedures by identifying key areas for improvement and ensuring continuous process evolution. Support cross-functional collaboration to align operational workflows with strategic objectives and industry best practices.
5. Risk Management & Documentation
Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, ensuring clarity, accountability, and compliance with internal and external requirements. Oversee sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, implementing risk management measures to ensure data integrity. Balance multiple projects and shifting priorities while maintaining focus on long-term goals and project stability.
This is an on-site position at the Ballas office in the St. Louis region.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of banking experience in one of the following fields:
Personal Construction Lending
Mortgage Lending
Compliance
College Degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to work with minimal supervision within a structured environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong spreadsheet and word processing skills.
Attention to detail.
Salary : $57,000 - $86,000
