ABOUT THIS TEMP POSITION

This is a temporary position and the length of assignment is estimated to go from March 2025 to August 2025. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business need and dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position:

  • Performs general office functions for the Regional Office and in support of the Facilities Manager
  • Provides a variety of facilities-related support to the Facilities Manager, including coordinating facilities changes, fleet vehicle maintenance, meeting logistics, and the work of contractors
  • Performs on-site ergonomic evaluations for Alliance staff
  • Backs up the reception function, as assigned

  • Knowledge of:
    • Working knowledge of general administrative procedures and standard business office practices and equipment
    • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service • Working knowledge of and proficiency with Windows-based PC systems, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Ability to:
    • Ability to interpret, apply and explain policies, procedures and contract language
    • Ability to identify issues of concern, gather and evaluate information, and make recommendations for action
    • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy and demonstrate strong customer service skills
    • Ability to coordinate the work of contractors and vendors
  • Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of four years of experience performing administrative support and coordination activities which included some facilities maintenance coordination responsibilities (an Associate's degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

OTHER INFORMATION

  • This position will report to our Salinas office, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.
  • This is a temporary position and does not provide the benefits that are listed below (it is standard language from our regular job posts and cannot be altered or removed).

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. These benefits are unavailable to temporary employees while on an assignment with the Alliance.
