Temporary Transportation Coordinator
Location : Mariposa County, California; Merced County, California; Monterey County, California; San Benito County, California; Santa Cruz County, California
ABOUT THIS TEMPORARY POSITION
This is a temporary position, with the assignment estimated to last until the end of June 2025. The duration of the assignment is subject to change based on business needs. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be employed by a temporary employment agency that we will connect you with.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to Elena Castillo, this position involves :
- Coordinating the authorization and documentation processes related to non-emergency medical transportation and non-medical transportation for eligible Alliance members. Collaborating with members, transportation vendors, provider offices, Alliance staff, county departments, and other agencies to ensure the effectiveness of transportation services.
- Answering phone calls from vendors, providers, members, and agencies through the department's Automatic Call Distribution line.
- Conducting telephone interviews with members, family members, and / or significant others to determine transportation needs.
- Verifying member eligibility and requesting records to validate medical necessity.
- Preparing transportation requests electronically and distributing them to the appropriate team members for review.

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.
The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).
Compensation Range $22-$26 USD
OUR BENEFITS
Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. These benefits are unavailable to temporary employees while on an assignment with the Alliance.
