The Central California Intelligence Center (CCIC) is seeking qualified applicants for a Critical Infrastructure Analyst position assigned to support the California State and CCIC Critical Infrastructure Protection efforts throughout the 34-county region of the Eastern District of California. This contract employee position will be renewed annually based on performance and program continuation. A vehicle and fuel will be provided for travel to assignments from the main office. This position is NOT eligible for benefits.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Under the direction of the Central California Intelligence Center (CCIC) Executive Director, the Critical Infrastructure Analyst works directly with federal, state, local, and tribal partners to support the California State and CCIC Critical Infrastructure Protection efforts by assisting with identifying, prioritizing, and protecting Critical Infrastructure & Key Resources (CIKR) residing within the Eastern District of California. Core working hours are a 4/10 or 5/8 work week. However, this position may require occasional weekend or evening work without a pay differential. Travel within the CCIC area of responsibility is often necessary. This position performs the following duties:
· Serve as the point of contact for regional infrastructure owners and operators requiring assistance in protection planning.
· Develop and maintain relationships with owners and operators of infrastructures within their assigned geographical area. Meet regularly with site security personnel and state and local officials to share information, review protection plans, and identify protection support requirements through available resources.
· Carry out the provisions of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) by providing guidance on strengthening security and reducing risk at high-value CIKR sites.
· Conduct pre-assessment meetings, document and prepare a report outlining the findings of vulnerabilities assessments for brief-backs.
· Present to groups, classes, and symposiums on topics such as critical infrastructure, site security, and personal safety.
· Attend training to include two or more training workshops/classes/conferences per contract year at the CCIC’s expense.
· Support local, regional and national partners with information sharing and related support strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
· Previous Law Enforcement experience including patrol operations.
· Exceptional writing and public speaking skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to understand and follow security protocols and best practices with attention to detail.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
· Maintain personal contact telephone line where you can be contacted by CCIC in cases of a national/regional emergency.
A thorough law enforcement background investigation is required
