Central Care Cancer Center, a private practice group located in the heart of the Midwest, is looking for a full-time Radiation Therapist to join our team. Our network of Oncology Clinics in Garden City, KS; Great Bend, KS; Emporia, KS; Newton, KS; and Bolivar, MO is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of skilled professionals. We are commited to providing exceptional cancer care to our patients.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Therapist to join our team. This position requires travel between our different clinic locations, with a company car, hotel, and meal allowance provided. We are flexible with the living location of the candidate. As long as you are willing to travel to our clinic locations, we are open to considering candidates from various locations.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Reviews prescription, diagnosis, patient chart, and identification
- Prepares equipment such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices; positions patient according to prescription
- Enters data into computer and sets controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during treatment
- Monitor patient reactions to treatment and report any unusual occurrences to the Radiation Oncologist
- Photographs treated area of patient and processes film
- Maintains records, reports, and files as required
- Follows principles of radiation protection for patient, self, and others
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Travel betweeen clinic locations as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, new grads also encouraged to apply
- ARRT (American Registry of Raiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy
- Valid state licensure for Kansas or willing to obtain upon hire
