What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Technician position at Central Carolina Technical College?
Job Responsibilities
Prepares invoices for students, staff, companies and other agencies for accounts receivable. Verifies accounting documents for invoices. Processes batch invoices for students. Confers with companies and other agency financial officials about procedures and student records. Assists director in implementing procedural changes from external companies and agencies. Reviews and verifies financial aid awards on students' accounts and post appropriate refunds. Reviews student accounts for Deferred Payment Plan, SC Department of Revenue (for GEAR debt set-off program), processes related paperwork, and maintains accurate records of the same. Processes bad-debt write-off.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in entry-level accounting or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
