Staff Accountant
Leading interior subcontractor located in South Easton, MA seeks Accountant/Assistant Controller. Central Ceilings, Inc. is a family owned and operated commercial drywall and ceiling contractor with 60 plus years’ experience. Responsibilities:
- Assist company in implementing new ERP system
- Work with Management and accounting staff to develop new business dashboards
- Learn all aspects of weekly multi state/union payroll and accounts payable to act as backup for these positions.
- Prepare weekly payroll reports.
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly multi-state payroll and sales tax returns.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly financials including Work in Process and Accounts Receivable Aging.
- Process and record deposits
- Work closely with the Contract Administrators in reconciling contracts to the monthly Work in Process report.
- Work with management team on additional Business Information reports as needed.
- Assist with various external audits gathering required documentation.
- Opportunity to work with senior management in researching and evaluating new ERP solutions.
- Inventory of receiving, shipping and returned material from warehouse.
- Other accounting duties as needed.
- This position in onsite for the first 90-days, with the possibility of hybrid schedule at the manager's discretion.
- Position reports to the Controller
Required Skills Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting
- 0 - 2 years of related experience
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task
- Experience with Sage 300, Procore, Textura or TimberScan a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Work Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position the employee will be regularly required to: sit, stand, and walk for moderate durations at a time; talk and hear; use hands for utilizing a keyboard, phone or writing utensil.
