What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Strategic Employment?
A very stable, publicly traded, global biotech company is looking to fill a General Ledger Accountant role. You will be given the opportunity to grow vertically or horizontally and mentored by someone who is well respected within the finance department. We are looking for folks who are comfortable working in a structured, fast paced environment, supporting monthly GL journal entries including fixed assets, prepaid expenses and accruals along with reconciling asset, liability, equity and expense accounts.
Must Have Skills
- Experience in public accounting or accounting for a publicly traded company
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting, accrual accounting and / or prepaids
