The Y is looking for a Day Camp Sports & Recreation Specialist to lead dynamic and inclusive sports and recreation programs for campers in a seasonal day camp setting.
As part of our team, you will create an environment where children of all skill levels can develop their athletic abilities, build confidence, and foster a love for sports and active play.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize, and lead a variety of sports and recreational activities tailored to different age groups and abilities.
- Promote teamwork, good sportsmanship, and inclusion among campers.
- Teach basic techniques and rules for a range of sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and more.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers during all activities by adhering to Y policies and safety standards.
- Maintain and manage sports equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
- Support the overall camp experience by assisting with other activities as needed.
