Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Wichita, KS team!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients and develop relationships
  • Attend board meetings for various entities (Government, USD, City, County)
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue goals
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends
  • Manage, train, and mentor sales team to achieve performance targets
  • Work with marketing team to align sales and promotional efforts
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and follow up to close deals
  • Utilize software tools for tracking sales activities, managing leads, and reporting on progress
  • Negotiate contract terms
  • Become a subject matter expert

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • Familiarity of company’s industry or willingness to learn quickly
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of sales strategies, market research, and competitive analysis
  • Will require overnight travel, after hour meetings, and some weekends

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel and crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust and focus.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
