Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing administrative functions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing exceptional support to both patients and staff. This role requires a strong understanding of practice management systems, medical terminology, and utilization management to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our dental services.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the dental office, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Oversee scheduling, patient records management, and billing processes to maintain efficient office operations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant legal requirements related to patient confidentiality and data security.
- Provide medical administrative support, including managing correspondence, handling inquiries, and addressing patient concerns.
- Collaborate with dental staff to implement best practices in patient care and office management.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and treatment plans using practice management systems such as Epic.
- Facilitate training for new staff on office procedures, systems, and compliance protocols.
- Monitor utilization management processes to optimize resource allocation and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Office Manager or in a similar administrative role within a dental clinic or medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of practice management systems, particularly Epic, along with proficiency in medical terminology.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Experience in utilization management is preferred but not required.
