Job Description:
The Dining Room Service Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. As a member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for preparing the dining room by setting tables and stations according to our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set tables with tablecloths, centerpieces, condiments, service plates, and utensils
- Maintain a clean and attractive dining area and work station at all times
- Greet residents and guests, assist with food and beverage selection, and answer questions about menu items
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, bus and pre-bus throughout service
- Accurately take resident and guest orders, put orders into the Point of Sale system, and deliver meals to residents
- Clean and care for equipment and work stations, scrape and wash dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans before placing them in the dishwasher or pot sink
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments, including cleaning walls, floors, filters, and complying with governmental sanitation codes
Requirements:
- Ability to see, hear, speak, read, and write English
- Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 35 lbs, and walk or stand up to eight hours
- Training in the Heimlich maneuver or willingness to be trained
